Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical (Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time & Part-Time Positions, Shift-Differentials)

Post-Op Unit Description:

Post-Op Surgical is a 27 bed Med/Surg unit of all private rooms. With a focus on Post-Op patients, we serve a mix of surgical patients including Orthopedic, Vascular, General, Urology, GYN, Neuro, ENT and various other specialties. Post-Op receives surgical patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric. Our unit also specializes in wound, ostomy and wound vac related dressing care. the unit has a monitor for Capnography. Post-op is a strong cohesive family with patients as our number one focus.

Position Summary: RN - Post-Op Surgical

The Registered Nurse is accountable for management and delivery of patient care to assigned patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and within the scope of practice delineated in the New York State Nurse Practice Act.

RN Responsibilities:

Provides direct patient careDelegates/assigns responsibility as appropriate to othersServes as leader of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with and under the direction of the attending physician.Focuses on completion of the nursing process including patient/family education and discharge planning.Understands and acts appropriately to ensure optimum use of all resources.
