Schedule: Full Time Nights (3 x 12-hour shifts) Must be available various shifts/times during orientation.

Prefer RN with 2+ years of ICU experience and unit involvement.

Our Surgical Trauma ICU unit is a 12-bed unit on the second floor with close proximity to the OR. We care for critically ill surgical and trauma patients, including neurosurgery, vascular surgery, general surgery patients, along with post-procedural patients. We also care for Intermediate Care level surgical and trauma patients as well.
Patient to Nurse Ratio: 2:1 (ICU patients) and 3:1 (IMC patients) in the STICU.

Surgical Trauma ICU RN Requirements:
Experience: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship. Certifications: BLS for healthcare provider certification from AHA required. ACLS (must obtain within 6 months of hire). Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN)- must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
