Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor - Oakville Emergency

Inova is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our Emergency Department to help expand our services in the Eastern Region of Northern Virginia.

We are opening a brand-new state-of-the-art health care facility in Alexandria, VA. Located in the Potomac Yard neighborhood is an outpatient facility that will include a full-service emergency room, ambulatory surgery, imaging services, primary care and other medical offices.

Schedule: Fulltime, Night shift. Three 12 hr shifts per week (7pm – 7am)

Require at least 1 year of Charge RN experience  Require at least 2 years plus of ED RN experience

Job Summary:

Requirements:

Require at least 1 year of Charge RN experience  Require at least 2 years plus of ED RN experience If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. BSN or MSN preferred Completion of revised Charge Nurse Workshop within the first 90 days Previous leadership courses preferred BLS required. Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 1 year of hire Strongly prefer current ACLS and PALS Licensed to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention. Demonstrates professionalism and ability to remain calm and lead in dynamic and busy situations. Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and healthcare software required. Strong problem-solving capabilities and prioritization; can serve as a resource and mentor to other clinical staff on the unit.
