Perform care as defined by client’s individual Plan of Care and within scope of state’s nurse practice act Monitor patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needsRequirements
Current unrestricted RN license in the State of Virginia One (1) year minimum experience working in ICU, Step Down, or ER with wound care, IV insertion, and port access experience. Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills; analytical/critical thinker Ability to have flexible hours based on client population. Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsPreferred experience: Peripheral IV starts/maintenance & IV Infusion Therapy; Injection and self-infusion training; Phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients; CVAD experience & knowledge, Port access, Wound Vacs, and PICC line maintenance.
