Job Overview:

Applies the nursing process to address health issues; Promotes compliance; Collaborates in a collegial manner with physicians, health department, and other health and social service agencies to meet health care needs. In the absence of the charge nurse, the position is delegated the axcountability and repsonsiobility to coordinatre the patient care delivered and responsible for daily operations and throughput of the department. Positioon will assist the charge nurse with the flu campaign, fit testing, TB testing and other orgainzational mandatory requirements as directed. This position will oversee the daily care provided by the Emplyee Health Technician. 

Job Requirements:

Associate Degree in Nursing 
Registered Nurse 
Current Ohio licensure
Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of Biological, Physical, Behavioral, Social, and Nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle
Preferred active participation in applicable specialty professional organization
2 - 3 years experience Clinical - Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit or Employee Health in Nursing Emergency Department, ICU, or strong Medical Surgical skills 

Job Responsibilities:

Adheres to HIPPA privacy requirements in all forms to any party other than designated TriHealth departments responsible for the treatment of patients, accounts receivable/payable or the operations of the occupational medicine centers.Adheres to the TriHealth Code of Ethical Business and Proferssional Behavior. 
Performs specialty / unit-specific skills and competencies. Interprets and executes physician orders. In the absence of the charge nurse, directs unit activities in which safe, clinically competent care is provided. Delegates care to other team members within the scope of nursing practice. Maintains and improves current knolwedge in area of practice through activities such as continuing education, formal education, professional orgainzation membership and conferences. 
Demonstrates critical thinking skills in the decision-making process. accepts accountability for actions taken. Utilizes the chain of command appropriately. Facilitates patient movement through the system to achieve desired outcomes. Maintains open communication through relaying information in a timely manner to all customers. Builds collegial relationships with physicians and other members of the healthcare team. Participates and cooperates on various TriHealth committees and teams to coordinate the health and safety needs of employees. Collaborates with disability and workers compensation case managers to promote wellness and reduce absence.
Assist the charge nurse and lead office specialist in developing, updating and implementing department specific gudielines and procedures. Review schedule for next business day to ensure appropriate and any and all supplies and resources are available.
