Job Title: Registered Nurse - Surgery Centers
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our surgery centers. This role involves triaging phone calls, admitting patients, conducting basic pre-op and post-op check-ins, managing patient file buckets, and transporting patients. The successful candidate will work closely with a team while in the surgery center, ensuring that all procedures and patient care are handled efficiently and professionally.

ResponsibilitiesTriage phone calls.Admit patients and review their allergies and medications.Hook patients up to IVs or administer antibiotics.Conduct pre-op and post-op check-ins.Call patients to schedule next visits and conduct post-op procedures.Manage patient file buckets.Transport patients from OR to the back bay area.Go over all post-procedure instructions with patients.Sign all necessary paperwork.Explain the day's procedures to patients.Ensure vital signs are stable.Confirm IV is running appropriately.Review oral medications.Essential SkillsActive RN license.Active BLS/CPR certification.Experience with IV administration.BSN degree.Additional Skills & QualificationsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Work Environment

This urology surgery center primarily performs prostate biopsies, urolifts, cystoscopies, bladder biopsies, botox injections, endoscopies, and other related procedures. The team consists of 6 nurses who rotate based on patient admissions and doctors' block schedules. The shifts are from Monday to Friday, with no weekend work. Hours can vary from 30 to 40 hours per week, starting as early as 6 AM and ending as late as 5 PM. The schedule is provided one week in advance. Physical requirements include pushing and pulling, lifting heavy objects, physical mobility and agility, dexterity of hands and fingers, balance, and endurance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
