Position Summary:
Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing, diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Supports Triage nursing functions within Ambulatory Care: Telehealth Triage, provides medical information to patients according to Triage Nurse guidelines, assists with Medication Refills according to protocol, supports anticoagulation management and other duties as identified. The individual must have strong interpersonal skills and flexibility. Maintains patient confidentiality and protects the patient rights. Resolves concerns or complaints while maintaining a positive, personalized, and friendly attitude. Addresses patient needs in a timely and appropriate manner.
The Triage Team Lead will be a part of the Carlson, Plymouth, and the Wayzata Park Nicollet Triage Teams. We are 16 triage team members strong and serve 46 clinicians. We are looking for someone with phone triage experience in primary care. Preferred experience utilizing Schmidt Thompson protocols. The Team Lead will work alongside three clinic triage teams (Carlson, Plymouth, Wayzata) throughout the week on a consistent Monday to Friday schedule. Shifts range between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The Team Lead will be expected to handle telephone triage, in-basket work, walk-ins, and assist the nursing supervisors with scheduling.
Additionally, this role involves approving timecards at times, communicating performance concerns, and motivating team members to adhere to work standards and promote work efficiencies that help our patients and meet quality goals. The Team Lead should be an expert at sharing new information and improving team camaraderie. They will also coach employees on improving and setting performance goals, while disciplinary actions will not be part of their responsibilities.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, daytime hours. No weekends.
This team lead position will float between the Minnetonka, Plymouth, and Wayzata triage teams.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate from course of study in nursing resulting in an associate degree, diploma, or baccalaureate degree in nursing. Must maintain a current Minnesota registered nurse license. BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.Preferred Qualifications:
