Graduation from an accredited Licensed/Registered Practical Nursing Program; current registration with the provincial licensing body.
Experience\:
Previous experience in the acute care sector; long tern care; demonstrated clinical competencies; positive interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written; critical thinking and analytical skills; decision making skills; ability to prioritize; clinical certificates considered an asset.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS\:
The Registered Practical Nurse reports to the Clinical Manager, as appropriate
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE\:
The RPN must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all duties and responsibilities of this job description, in response to changes by the regulating body, as well as agreed upon specific goals and objectives.
PERFORMANCE REVIEW\:
Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review at the end of the three month probationary period and subsequently, on at least an annual basis. Input will be sought from employees and consultants at the branch and National Development Centre as applicable.
