On our team, you will provide stellar care to patients assigned to your unit. Radiology Technologists (RT) use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, correctly operating the equipment and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. In this role, you may go on to specialize in more specific imaging techniques, such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography and nuclear medicine. **A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM - 7:00AM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures. + Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay. + Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS. + Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam. + Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. + Maintain documentation. + Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator. + Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. + Registered Technologist (RT) credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing + Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification + Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
