Patient Populations:

Emergency DepartmentsAcute Care Inpatient Specialty UnitsAdult Intensive Care UnitsNeonatal Intensive Care UnitPediatric Intensive Care UnitLabor and Delivery Postpartum Care

Primary skills utilized/learned:

Invasive and Non-invasive ventilation managementEvidence-based patient driven protocol pathwaysCritical thinking and time managementMulti-disciplinary patient care management

Personnel RRT will work with:

RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Dieticians

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy Possess and maintain an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Active Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license from the Ohio Medical Board Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification Reliable transportation to travel to other MetroHealth facilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 years of experience as a RRT in a critical care environment. Extensive experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring Possess a Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA Possess an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) form the AHA Apply
