At Saint Mary’s Hospital our NICU RNs provide direct patient care to critically ill or premature newborns in the NICU unit.
What you will do
In this Registered Nurse RN role, in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill or premature newborns, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing medical equipment, performing assessments, developing care plans, educating parents on infant care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes; often requiring advanced knowledge of neonatal resuscitation and complex medical conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduates preferred.Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.Certification: BLS required and PALS.Work Schedule:
Full time: 30 hours, Day Shift
Your schedule will includeTwo 12-hour shifts in one week andThree 12-hour shifts in the second week of each pay periodEvery third weekend- holidays required.Additional Info:
