**Registered Vascular Technician – Heart & Vascular Specialists 18762** _Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_ ********* **Work location:** 1005 West Ralph Hall Parkway, Rockwall, TX 75032 **Work hours:** Full Time Days (Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week. **Travel:** 50% to surrounding clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided) **Heart & Vascular Specialists Department highlights:** · Strong teamwork and collaboration · Compassion and empathy to our patients and the Team · Supports the needs of our Rockwall Vascular Clinic and our Dallas Vascular Clinic · We are a fully integrated practice, uniting hospitals and physician offices into one collaborative team **Here’s What You Need** · Associates Degree Related field (preferred) · Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred) · 1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required) and · RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required) or · RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required) · Minimum 2 years’ experience with abi's, cerebral, abdominal, upper/lower peripheral venous and arterial imaging (strongly preferred) · Experience with US guided RFA's (preferred). · BLS certification (strongly preferred) · Reliable transportation required · _Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases_ · _Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature_ · _Have excellent communication skills_ · _Have good computer skills_ · _Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism_ **What You Will Do** Deliver care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process to include: · Perform diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines. · Prepare and maintains operations logs and calibrates and maintains equipment , and order supplies when necessary · Explain procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedure. · Perform other duties as assigned. · Conduct vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols. Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation.
