VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician for our Emergency Department. As a member of the emergency team, the ideal candidate will be expected to multitask effectively, delegate treatments, and anticipate the needs of our patients in a chaotic, fast-paced environment. Experience in emergency veterinary medicine is a plus.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter who can anticipate the needs of their team members, doctors, and patients. Effective and clear client communication is necessary; clients that present to our emergency department are experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety. The ability to speak to them calmly and with compassion is essential to establishing trust with them and our veterinary team. In this role, one must be a team player who is able to remain calm and kind to their team members amid stressful and hectic circumstances.
VCA Loomis Basin is a 24/7 emergency, specialty, and general practice animal hospital located in Loomis, CA. We offer Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Specialty Surgery, and ICU among other general practice surgeries and appointments.
