Summary

Responsible for accurately obtaining complete demographic and financial information on all patients.  Obtains pre-registration and registration of patients including consents. Obtains verification of insurance benefits and runs payment estimate for service and conducts financial conversation with the patient explaining the estimate and collect payment.  Receives and directs incoming calls and assembles patient charts and maintains medical records.  Promotes good public relations at all times, extending a positive, cooperative and supportive service to patients, families and fellow colleagues.
 
Position Qualifications

Minimum Education                     High school graduate or the equivalent. Preferred Education                     Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM coding. Completion of medical terminology course. Minimum Experience    1-2 years medical office registration experience. Preferred Experience     Previous work in a computerized work environment. ASC or physician practice surgery scheduling experience.
