Overview

Our Registrar are often the eyes and ears of the direct patient care providers. Your excellent communication and teamwork skills play an important role in the success of this position. In this role, you are often the conduit between our patients, their families, and our care teams.

CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is a 280 bed faith-based, non-profit, Magnet Accredited facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. As the only level II trauma center in the southwest part of the state, CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is the regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, neuro, ortho, oncology and critical care/pulmonary. We have also been voted as one of Arkansas Best Places to Work by Arkansas Business since 2019. We have earned top patient safety ratings from Leapfrog and was recently named as one of the Nation’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in Fortune and PINC AI.

Responsibilities

Consistently answers telephone promptly and courteously and communicates in a clear, concise, and compassionate manner. Appropriately identifies office and self when answering outside calls.

Consistently and effectively obtain information and documentation that relate to the office operations in a timely fashion.
Maintains confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
Accurately enters demographic and insurance information in the computer system according to the office guidelines.

Efficiently and accurately enters patient demographic and insurance information into the computer system.
Efficiently and accurately schedules appointments for patients.
Keys in all charges and revisits made by cardiac rehabilitation on a daily basis.
Requires a patient to sign acknowledgement of HIPAA consent.


Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent
One year experience in a medical setting preferred.
