Registrar Generalist

Description:The position provides customer service, quality assurance as well as technical and administrative support
to the Registrar’s Office. The Technical Assistant serves as primary contact for questions from students,
staff and faculty regarding records and registration, provides support for transcript entry, internal and
external reporting and tracking attendance, grades and graduation data. Assists with a broad range of
technical and administrative tasks, including entering, maintaining and validating the accuracy of historical
and current academic data.

This is a temporary Fully Time position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Primary contact for student, staff and faculty registration and record questions.

• Process Student Information System updates including student registrations, address and name changes. Ensures the integrity of system data to be accurate and timely.

• Track Attendance at the beginning of each semester, contact faculty as needed. •Manage the Academic Calendar, providing reminders and notices to students, faculty and staff.

• Process substitutions, waivers and grade changes.

• Enter transfer credit to be evaluated.

• Track Mid-Term and Final Grade Submission. 7.11.2022 Final

• Create, track and organize graduation related information such as applications, cap and gown orders, participation, awards, programs, diplomas, name cards, etc.

• Build/maintain course schedules

• Update and maintain student records.

• Transition student current and historical records to electronic-documents.

• Compare course catalogs and highlight program changes for Degree Audit updates.

• Prepare degree audits for graduation, letters of verification, transcripts and diplomas.

• Prepare schedules and degree audits for VA enrollment certifications.

•Monitor registrars’ office email inbox.

• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field.

• Two years’ experience working in an office environment.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy.

• Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong customer service commitment and a continuous quality focus

• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Experience in a higher education environment or registrar’s office preferred.

• Knowledge of Datatel/Colleague preferred.
