This role involves managing a team of registrars, providing training and support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The Registrar Lead is instrumental in maintaining a smooth workflow in a high-pressure environment, collaborating with various departments, and addressing patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism. Additionally, the role requires continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency. + Courteously and professionally greets patients. + Obtain accurate demographic insurance information. Correctly code and verify insurance coverage. + Collect estimated patient responsibility or screen patient for assistance programs. Provide assistance to patients presenting or calling with billing questions. + Process medical records requests. + Train new staff. + Prepare monthly paperwork for scanning. + Prepare bank deposits. + Audit patient charts for accuracy. + Maintain consistent communication within the department. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time employees can receive up to $9,000. **Qualifications** **Minimum:** + High School Diploma/GED or Official Transcripts + (1) year of recent medical office, hospital registration, or banking experience + (2) years of Customer Service experience + American Heart Association-issued BLS card + Medical terminology, insurance verification, schedule maintenance **Preferred:** + Associates Degree + (1) year of Management, Supervisor, or Lead experience + Service recovery and Conflict resolution **Pay Range** $18.00 - $22.42 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
