Position Summary:

Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine (SSVM) of Rowan University invites applications for the position of Registrar.  The successful candidate will have the responsibility of maintaining student records, helping veterinary students schedule and register for classes and ensuring all students meet the requirements for graduation. The position requires prior experience with Ellucian Banner or similar administrative software used in higher education to manage student data. The Registrar will report to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work as part of team to integrate SSVM course registration with the Rowan University system. Manage academic registration of courses and students each semester. Collaborate with Admissions staff to add new students into the student information system accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain and monitor student data to ensure adherence to polices of academic integrity and confidentiality of student records. Perform enrollment and operational-related functions, including graduation, Commencement planning, diploma generation and distribution, grading, transcripts, enrollment, and degree verifications. Provide data analysis in support of academic and administrative decisions. Develop and maintain the academic catalog. Participate in student service committees and other initiatives. Other relevant duties as assigned.

 Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree. Minimum three (3) years of Registrar Office experience in a higher education setting.    Experience with Ellucian Banner or similar student information system (SIS) for higher education institutions. Understanding of federal regulations and higher education policies and practices related to student academic records. Relevant training and/or certification as a Registrar Strong computer literacy. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Strong customer-service skills. Ability to work independently to solve problems with minimal supervision. Ability to work with both technical and non-technical staff.

 Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree with a degree in higher education or related field. Experience with One45

The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine is located on the Glassboro, New Jersey west campus, 22 miles southeast of Philadelphia. The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine plans to admit its first class of DVM students in 2025, pending accreditation approval. Facilities will include an academic teaching facility aimed at the delivery of pre-clinical training, a small animal teaching hospital, and a research facility.
