Summary:
Responsible for daily support, mentoring and directing of staff in conjunction with Manager/Supervisor.
Assist with mandatory education activities, preparation of staff schedules and staff meetings.
Mentors and coaches staff members.
Is compliant with regulatory guidelines.
Acts as first contact representative of Virtua by providing excellent customer service.
Position Responsibilities:
• Coordinate training of staff on registration process, providing one-on-one education as needed.
• Monitors, corrects and documents all edits to coordinate educational support.
• Assists with employee time management, preparation of departmental schedules, beeper coverage and overall departmental staffing coverage.
• Monitors data integrity of admissions information and performs daily audit in accordance with department policy; provides reporting of same.
• Assists with tracking of departmental mandatory education activities and provides reporting of same.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
1-3 years experience in health care or medical office environment, medical hospital billing/accounts receivable or patient registration preferable.
Strong computer software skills.
Excellent communication skills with strong analytical skills and the ability to handle potentially stressful situations while maintaining a positive demeanor.
Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Training / Certification / Licensure:
One year of Epic system experience highly preferred.
