We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Regulatory Advisor within our Rockies Stakeholder Relations group based in Denver, Colorado.

Essential Job Responsibilities\:

Develop and manage internal and external initiatives to reduce regulatory risk and enhance social license. Create multi-channel community engagement strategies designed to increase knowledge, foster exchange, and build relationships. Identify emerging trends and create plans to capture opportunities and minimize risk. Work with a wide variety of people and personalities, diffusing situations and accomplishing complex negotiations. Support in-person and virtual community meetings. Collaborate with teams to support permitting traditional oil and gas well locations and low-carbon technologies, including securing informed consent. Work with various teams and business units to resolve operation and production-related stakeholder issues. Assist in the preparation and execution of field tours and Oxy-sponsored events. Support to the Regulatory Permitting and Compliance teams, as needed.

 

Education\:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Political Science, Business, or a related field

 

Experience\:

2 years of experience in community or stakeholder engagement, carbon management, or oil and gas general field knowledge is a plus Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Internet applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-task, customer service environment Strong ethics, service attitude, team player Strong communication, interpersonal savvy, and listening skills Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation Strong attention to detail, record keeping, and organization skills with the ability to prioritize, perform, and track multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Comfortable working in the field as and when required in support of projects Strong project management, research, and reporting skills Strong desire to learn and grow knowledge in line with responsibilities 15% - 25% domestic travel is required Experience in community or stakeholder engagement, carbon management, or oil and gas general field knowledge is a plus Demonstrated ability to consistently produce results in a multi-tasking environment with multiple clients and stakeholders
