Are you ready to join a dynamic team dedicated to navigating and ensuring seamless regulatory compliance across global markets? This position offers a unique opportunity to work with various regulatory requirements, manage critical compliance documentation, and support regulatory initiatives for open borders in North America, Latin America, EMEA, and APAC. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, balancing the responsibility of accurate document preparation with a proactive approach to streamline workflows. With a hybrid schedule allowing flexibility, this role combines independent initiative and team support.
Responsibilities
Assist the Regulatory Affairs & Trade Compliance Specialist with assembling product dossiers and coordinating registrations across diverse global regions.Gather, organize, and report data to meet regulatory deadlines; manage fee coordination for compliance.Develop and maintain digital tools to monitor licenses and permits, identifying opportunities for workflow efficiency.Oversee and coordinate sample collection and transportation for testing and product registrations.Prepare and manage notarized documents, authenticated or legalized through federal or consulate offices as needed, including certified payment handling.File, organize, and update regulatory documents in both physical and digital formats.Track and report data on budget reports, product registration timelines, and key performance metrics.Collaborate effectively with team members and departments to communicate project progress and timelines.Take on other responsibilities as necessary to support the team.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Science, or a related field.1-2 years of experience in a regulatory setting.Strong knowledge of Food Safety, Manufacturing, and Food Regulations is a plus.Highly self-motivated with excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities, adept at balancing multiple tasks.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across departments.Exceptional attention to detail for document review and submission to ensure accuracy and compliance.Proficient in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.Willingness to travel occasionally within the Edmonton area.Flexibility to work extended hours when needed.This is an opportunity to build a meaningful career in regulatory affairs, gaining experience in a supportive, innovative environment.
