We are currently looking for a Sr. Regulatory Analyst in Houston, TX.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Regulatory Analyst, Certificates will be primarily responsible for assisting in preparing and submitting certificate applications; ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness of compliance filings; and disbursing project updates to the team. The candidate will develop and enhance creative strategies to meet agreed upon deadlines for filing certificate applications. The role will also track and prepare summary reports on rulemakings or issuance matters that can impact Boardwalk.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the preparation of certificate applications, collecting and organizing responses to data requests, for securing a certificate authorization for construction and or abandonment of facilities. Attend internal project meetings and relay status updates to the team.
+ Maintain a Regulatory compliance calendar for all Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) compliance reporting (i.e. construction progress reports, post construction noise-studies), and coordinate with the various departments to ensure that all compliance filings are accurate and submitted timely.
+ Manage pre-filing projects, including leading in meetings and reporting requirements.
+ Coordinate with Environmental and Engineering and Construction teams to develop and review resource reports and ensure proper implementation plans for projects.
+ Monitor FERC eLibrary for project filings, proposed rule makings or issuance of significance to identify potential impacts for Boardwalk entities.
+ Working familiarity with the process for the Blanket, Replacement and Maintenance type projects
+ Coordinate within the legal/regulatory department to provide interpretations of changes in federal regulations or policy shifts to upper management and/or other departments.
+ Coordinate with business groups to assure regulatory compliance; advise other departments as to compliance in their functions and ensure proper execution of reporting requirements.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with FERC staff to secure goals.
+ Coordinate with leadership to develop and implement process improvements at the Boardwalk and individual pipeline levels based on FERC policy initiatives.
+ Provide regulatory analysis to support acquisition, merger, and divestment due diligence.
+ Provide training on regulatory matters through written communication and visual presentations for both internal and external customers.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
+ At least 5 years Regulatory Affairs experience or equivalent work experience
+ Good written and verbal communication skills
+ Good organizational skills.
+ Microsoft Word and Excel experience.
+ Should be flexible, dependable, and detail oriented.
+ Have the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal direction
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
