What you’ll do:

Assure compliance of closures to FDA and global regulations. Issue required statements to customers and interface with customer regulatory representatives. Manage response to regulatory requests made via online databases. Assure supplied materials are compliant.Ensure the accuracy and upkeep of the content, structure and organization related to systems and procedures that outline the approved approach to Regulatory systems for Silgan Closures.Maintain effective and proactive relationships with material supply on regulatory matters.Research and assess the potential impact of legislative, regulatory and policy initiatives that apply to Silgan Closures products and services.Attend industry meetings and review industry updates and disseminate relevant information.Generate reports as needed and audit systems to ensure compliance, while communicating to the appropriate personnel within the organization of changes to the system.Ensure leadership role and awareness of regulatory materials developments.Provide semi-annual regulatory update presentations to Quality Managers, other staff and customers as needed.Implement procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements of GFSA/Food Safety Schemes and conduct training.Maintain confidentiality of all customer and supplier programs and agency information and if necessary, discuss such information privately with appropriate personnel.

What you’ll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in related field- Law, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Materials, or related industryMinimum 5 years of experience in food regulatory complianceExcellent verbal and written organizational and communication skillsWorking knowledge of project management, benchmarking, regulatory compliance, and quality toolKnowledgeable in PC Microsoft Office Programs-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ProjectWillingness and ability to travel to customer, trade associations, Silgan manufacturing and supplier locationsPreferred QualificationsAdditional experience in industrial laboratory with increasing responsibilities, managerial experience, FDA and EPA regulatory complianceAbility to interface well with technical, manufacturing and marketing on cross-functional teams with customer focusClosures industry experienc
