Job Title: Regulatory Manager
Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Regulatory Manager to stay ahead of global regulatory requirements related to fragrance and cosmetic ingredients, sustainability, labeling, and safety standards. You will interpret and communicate regulatory changes to internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring compliance and providing high-quality information and services.

ResponsibilitiesStay abreast of potential and known global regulatory requirements related to fragrance ingredients, cosmetic ingredients, sustainability, labeling, and safety standards.Interpret and communicate regulatory changes to internal stakeholders and customers.Innovate, develop, and implement strategies to ensure the company's compliance with applicable regulations.Prepare and submit regulatory documents, including product registrations, notifications, and safety assessments to relevant regulatory bodies.Maintain accurate and comprehensive regulatory files for all fragrance and cosmetic products.Evaluate the regulatory status of fragrance and cosmetic ingredients and ensure their compliance with global, regional, and international regulations.Collaborate with suppliers to obtain necessary documentation and information on raw materials.Oversee the creation and approval of product labels to ensure compliance with labeling regulations.Work closely with marketing teams to ensure accurate and regulatory-compliant product claims.Develop and implement regulatory strategies for new product launches and market expansions.Provide regulatory guidance to product development teams to facilitate regulatory approval processes.Prepare for and participate in regulatory audits and inspections.Address any findings or issues raised during audits and inspections.Collaborate with R&D, quality, marketing, and other departments to ensure regulatory considerations are integrated into all processes.Provide regulatory input during product development and formulation reviews.Conduct training sessions for internal teams to raise awareness of regulatory requirements and changes.Keep internal stakeholders informed about best practices for compliance.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Chemistry or other scientific background.5-10 years of experience in regulatory-chemical review, SDS ratings application, and review.Understanding of regulations such as Canadian DSL, REACH, and other global compliance requirements.Experience with fragrance, diffusers, beauty care, industrial, and home care products.Ability to interpret data and regulatory documents.Knowledge of regulatory bodies such as FDA, FCA, IFRA.Global compliance and quality control expertise.Proficient in using WERCs systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsGo-getter attitude with a proactive and passionate approach.Experience in collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.Ability to provide regulatory guidance and conduct training sessions.Strong communication skills to inform internal stakeholders.Work Environment

The Regulatory Manager must be able to work in an office setting with occasional walkthroughs of laboratory and production areas. The role also requires working in a lab and manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate, with strong odors often present.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00
