Reinsurance Relationship Manager - Collections

Overview Join Gallagher Re as a key liaison between our organization and leading reinsurers, ensuring effective communication and resolution of complex queries or escalations from Business Units (BUs), Client Service Advocates (CSAs), Reinsurer Account Controllers (RACs), and reinsurers. This role focuses on delivering timely cash settlements aligned with Gallagher Re’s Service Level Agreements, client contractual obligations, and U.S. regulatory requirements (including Schedule F compliance). Your efforts will minimize E&O risks while enhancing overall client satisfaction. Key responsibilities include managing the collection of outstanding balances from domestic reinsurers on active U.S. client accounts. Success in this role requires fostering and maintaining strong relationships with reinsurers and internal stakeholders such as CSAs, RACs, Claim Technicians, and Client Services. How you'll make an impact Manage the collection of open balances, cash calls, aged balances, and statement of offset funds, ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory requirements for Gallagher Re Inc.'s U.S. live business. Build and sustain productive, dynamic relationships with reinsurers to address and resolve issues and queries promptly. Coordinate with and provide updates to senior management and Client Service Advocates (CSAs) on service-impacting issues. Collaborate closely with the Mumbai U.S. team leadership and Reinsurer Accountants to maintain strong working relationships. Conduct weekly meetings with CSAs and monthly reviews with senior management to discuss aged balances and outline steps for timely collections. Identify opportunities to improve processes and assist with their implementation when applicable. Communications & Relationships Internal: Daily contact with Client Service Advocates, Reinsurer Accountants, Client Accountants, Technical team, and Operations, where applicable, to discuss and help resolve any issues which may impact Gallagher's ability to meet client settlement terms, Service Level Agreements, contractual terms, and US regulatory requirements tied to Schedule F. External: Contact with reinsurers (of live clients) to help resolve queries and facilitate transfer of funds to meet contractual and statutory requirements. About You High school diploma required; degree from a two-year or four-year college preferred; minimum of five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Ability to absorb related information and effectively communicate the subject matter. Proficiency in Microsoft application skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to read, interpret, and calculate figures in MS excel, using basic excel formulas. Ability to understand numbers and their impact across a statement or balance sheet. Energetic, with a strong desire to learn and adapt to growing business needs. Ability to effectively work through issues. Ability be able to manage business relationships, provide leadership where needed, and demonstrate your interpersonal skills when working with others. Ability to organize and prioritize your workload based on contractual turnaround, regulatory deadlines, business needs, and legal requirements.
