Job Description A client in San Antonio, TX is looking for a Reinsurance Specialist to join their team. The reinsurance specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of life and annuity processes within our organization. This position requires a reasonable level of analytical skills and involves handling various tasks related to claims processing, beneficiary management, and financial tracking. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with data, collaborating with team members, and maintaining accurate records. This position can between $17-$19/hr depending on experience. Responsibilities: 1. Data Analysis and Reporting: o Retrieve and analyze daily reports related to life and annuity processes. o Identify exceptions, discrepancies, and trends. o Collaborate with team members to address any issues promptly. 2. Claims Processing: o Monitor claims processing activities. o Ensure timely and accurate handling of claims. o Track the status of claims throughout the process. 3. Beneficiary Management: o Maintain beneficiary records. o Coordinate beneficiary payouts. o Communicate with beneficiaries as needed. 4. Receivables and Billing: o Keep track of receivables and outstanding payments. o Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate billing. 5. Aging Management: o Monitor aging claims and follow up as necessary. o Escalate aging cases to appropriate parties. 6. Reinsurance Coordination: o Work closely with reinsurers. o Ensure timely payment posting in the system. o Keep reinsurers informed about payment status. 7. Transactional Tasks: o Handle day-to-day operational tasks related to life and annuity processes. o Collect funds and manage financial transactions. o Focus on efficiency and accuracy. 8. Communication and Collaboration: o Collaborate with different team members. o Rotate responsibilities to gain a holistic understanding of processes. o Communicate effectively within the team. 9. Member and Beneficiary Support: o Assist members and beneficiaries during the claims process. o Provide excellent customer service. o Address inquiries promptly.
