About the role
Working with and reporting to the Strategic Planning and Partnership Manager – Community Services, this role supports the development and implementation of growth strategies for the Education Sector book of business within the Intact Public Entities Community Services Division.
The Relationship Manager will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with various organizations within the education sector on a national scale. Serving as the industry expert for the education sector within Intact Public Entities, this individual with have in-depth knowledge of sector trends, challenges, and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
Continuously identify the evolving needs and challenges faced by the education sector, especially as it relates to insurance and risk management, bringing these insights back to our team in order to drive actionable solutions.
Stay informed on the insurance marketplace within the education sector, regularly reporting on competitor activities to ensuring Intact Public Entities and our broker partners continue to deliver industry leading products, services and solutions to organizations within the education sector.
Conduct market research to identify target organization profiles and opportunities for strategic partnerships. Assess the organizations presence and positioning within the sector and evaluate potential opportunities for alignment and growth.
Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans to cultivate partnerships, foster relationships and drive revenue growth with organizations in the education sector on a national basis.
Identify new opportunities and collaborate with broker partners to secure new business, contributing to the achievement of Intact Public Entities growth objectives.
Collaborate with various internal stakeholders including but not limited to Risk Management, Marketing, Distribution Underwriting and Claims to plan and execute a national strategy to drive growth.
Determine project priorities and oversee progress to ensure timely completion while maintaining a high standard of execution and quality.
Qualifications:
Extensive understanding of the education sector, including key needs, trends, and challenges across all levels from early childhood (JK) to post secondary education.
In-depth understanding of the regulatory requirements and compliance needs specific to the education sector, with the ability to apply this knowledge to support the success and needs of educational institutions.
Strong ability to develop and nurture relationships with a diverse range of educational stakeholders, including school boards, administrators, and institutional leaders.
Proven experience in developing and implementing a comprehensive business plan that drives sustainable growth and fosters authentic and lasting relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for translating complex ideas into clear, accessible messages that resonate with audiences who may be unfamiliar with the subject matter.
Strong business acumen with creativity and effective problem-solving skills.
Hard working and collaborative, with appreciation for team work to achieve a shared vision.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
University degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience
A solid understanding of insurance principles is preferred but not a requirement.
If not already licensed, the individual will need to obtain and maintain insurance broker licensing as required.
Availability to attend various activities (cocktail parties, conventions, etc.) outside of normal business hours.
Valid drivers license.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
Work Location:
This is a hybrid role.
Travel will be required on a national basis.
The candidate will be required to report to the corporate office in Cambridge, ON on occasion.
