Relationship Manager Deposits CRE
*RELATIONSHIP MANAGER DEPOSITS CRE* WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Deposits Relationship Manager (DRM) plays a critical role in developing and managing deposit relationships within the Commercial Real Estate Banking Division. This position focuses on meeting the deposit needs of both existing and prospective clients by delivering tailored solutions and providing exceptional service. Success in this role requires resilience and adaptability to navigate the evolving commercial real estate and financial landscape. The DRM must have the initiative and discipline to build and grow a portfolio, even during quieter phases, and the ability to identify opportunities and effectively address client needs. A strong work ethic and self-motivation are essential to managing both slow periods and high-activity cycles with a positive, team-oriented mindset. Additionally, this role requires the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and foster strong client relationships. To excel, the DRM must possess strong relationship management, communication, presentation, and influencing skills, along with a deep understanding of deposit products and services. The DRM is responsible for driving profitability through proactive client engagement, strategic outreach, and referrals, while also serving as a key liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure operational excellence. What you will do * Focus to develop New Deposit Relationships. Prepare a Relationship Plan and calling schedule for each client or prospect in conjunction with the strategic business development program. Identify business opportunities for Commercial Real Estate Banking or other Bank products or services from existing customers, marketing prospective list, a network of referral sources, and other professionals in the industry. Develop a strong understanding of company, industry, business and needs to assist in client calling efforts. * Call on existing or prospective clients to discuss and promote Real Estate Banking and other Bank products and services in order to establish a total client banking relationship. Discuss opportunities and general business conditions; and other banking needs to develop solutions to serve their financial needs. Partner with internal product specialists, as necessary. * Ensure conformance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements. Exercise sound risk judgment in approving transactions. Ensures the quality of all business introduced to the Bank. * Represent the Bank by actively participating in outside civic and community affairs, business and industry-related organizations, and other professional activities as appropriate. * Resolve all client needs and any internal issues in a timely manner. May approve transactions within delegated authority. * Monitor and analyze relationship results and deposit account activities. Determine client profitability. Make a recommendation regarding accounts to be further developed or eliminated. * Regularly update Salesforce with opportunities, client communications, and events. Track sales goals by entering and reviewing progress in Me@CNB at least quarterly. Additionally, log referrals into MyReferrals as needed. * Maintain awareness of competitive products, practices, rates and changes in market conditions. * Portfolios may include multiple accounts that require extensive treasury management services, and operational expertise to align workflows with client needs, manage risk effectively, and maximize cross-selling opportunities. * Collaborates with Relationship Managers-Credit, Team Leaders, Management, Subject Matter Experts and Treasury Management Consultants to keep relationship plans updates for both new and existing clients, ensuring strong retention and optimized relationships. *Must-Have** * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent * Minimum 3 years of experience in relationship management of Deposits based clients/portfolio in a financial services company * Minimum 3 years of product sales and new business development in a financial services company *Skills and Knowledge* * Proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables) for data analysis reporting. Experience in Tableau, Snowflake, and Salesforce *Compensation* Starting base salary: $87,027 - $138,965 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
