Relationship Manager- Wealth Management

As the dedicated point of contact to our Wealth Management clients who hold between $5-25M in Vanguard assets, you will directly influence the client experience by delivering the Wealth Management mission to: Be a trusted partner to our ultra-clients and their families, giving them the best long-term outcomes, so they can leave a legacy that fulfills their purpose in the world.

As a trusted partner, you will be expected to deliver a reliable experience by taking ownership and delivering consistently with excellence, build credibility by anticipating needs and demonstrating your expertise to align solutions, connect with your clients by demonstrating empathy and deeply understanding their needs, while having a client-first orientation to work in the long-term best interest of our current and future clients.

Within Wealth Management, we are focused on serving clients with excellence and expanding client relationships with Vanguard through sales to ensure we are providing all that Vanguard has to offer to give them the best chance for investment success.  Through this role, you will join a team focused on delivering Vanguard’s mission to give clients the best chance for investment success through a differentiated client-centric offer, a delightful omni-channel client experience, and a focused, digitally enabled service model. We are seeking candidates that possess the SIE and an active FINRA Series 7, 63, 65, or 66 licensing (highly preferred).

Responsibilities:

Deepen loyalty with existing self-directed clients by anticipating needs and demonstrating expertise to align solutions through education and guidance. Support strategy planning for a book of business. Model growth opportunities, contribute to business planning activities, and support client account retention.Bring an attitude of genuine curiosity to personally connect with clients in order to evaluate their needs through consultations. Use strong relationship management skills and knowledge of client needs to help clients develop financial goals through phone and in person interactions demonstrating empathy and deeply understanding client needs.Reliably resolve client inquiries related to products, services, and client sentiment by taking ownership and delivering consistently with excellence. Solutions may not be readily available and may require additional research or problem solving.Exemplify credibility through deep technical knowledge of Vanguard funds, products, and services to proactively identify opportunities to strengthen the client relationship.Consistently delight clients with the creation of solutions across internal teams to address inquiries and improve the client's overall experience with Vanguard's offer. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of three years related work experience. Two years experience in Relationship Management and managing a book of business preferred.Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.This role follows a hybrid working model where we are in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday & work remotely on Monday and Friday.


What you’ll need:

This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC), the SIE, Series 7 and 63, 65 or 66. Certain professional designations may be used in lieu of 65/66. These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.The SIE is required prior to starting with Vanguard. The Series 7 & 66 can be obtained upon starting.
