Release Agent Job Description We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Release Agent to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying and releasing drawings drafted in SolidWorks from our PDM file vault system for manufacturing. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our engineering documentation. Responsibilities + Ensure required documents are present in proper state and follow up with engineers for missing or improper documentation as needed. + Check for existing 3D models available in EPDM for use with new parts. + Verify fields in EPDM data card after 3D models are created. + Create and ensure accurate part metadata. + Troubleshoot software issues. + Work with OEM representatives and engineers to obtain data sheets and stp files. + Collaborate with outside resources to generate new 3D models. Essential Skills + Proficiency in MS Office Suite. + Experience using a file vault system. + Familiarity with 3D modeling software. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Experience using SolidWorks. + Experience using PDM (Product Data Management) systems. Work Environment The role involves working closely with the engineering team and OEM representatives, requiring effective communication and collaboration skills. The work environment includes using various software tools such as SolidWorks and PDM systems, with a strong emphasis on maintaining accurate engineering documentation. The dress code is business casual.
