Other areas of focus will include authentication, card sub systems, card encoding, Biometrics, location services and all other aspects of a physical access control infrastructure. As our Release and Deployment Engineer , you’ll support HID’s success by: + Proactively identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement in our release and deployment workflows + Managing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Octopus Deploy + Creating and maintaining scripts for deployment automation using languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash or similar scripting languages + Setting up and managing monitoring systems to ensure the health of deployed solutions (ELK) + Collaborating with IT, engineering, development and testing teams to enhance build and test environments + Continuously improving the software engineering processes, practices and automation associated with building, deploying, and updating software and environments + Coordinating with local manufacturing engineering and productions teams on deployment activities + Some travel and fieldwork, including international travel, may be required What we will love about your background: + Strong software development skills with a focus on automation + Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) + Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins, Octopus Deploy) + Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker) and Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) + Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) + Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., ELK Stack) + Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems + Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, Bitbucket) + Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies + Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently + Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written + Knowledge of databases setup and management such as MongoDB/PostgreSQL Your Experience and Education include: + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field + 2+ years of experience in software deployment or DevOps practices Why apply? + Empowerment: You’ll work as part of a global team in a flexible work environment, learning and enhancing your expertise.
