**Role Overview** : Our Release Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that our software products are delivered reliably, efficiently, and in alignment with our strategic goals. The role is responsible for overseeing the software release lifecycle, from planning and scheduling to coordination and final deployment. They work closely with various teams—such as development, quality assurance, leadership, and product management—to ensure smooth and timely delivery of software updates, enhancements and new products. **Key Responsibilities** **Release Planning and Scheduling** + Develop and manage the release calendar, coordinating across multiple teams. + Assist the planning of release cycles (major, minor, hotfixes) and align with business priorities. + Identify risks and dependencies in the release pipeline and develop mitigation strategies. **Coordination and Communication** + Act as the main point of contact for release-related matters. + Coordinate activities across cross-functional teams (e.g., DevOps, QA, Product Management). + Communicate release scope, schedules, and status updates to stakeholders. **Quality Assurance and Compliance** + Ensure releases comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements. + Validate and document all aspects of the release for compliance and audit purposes. + Responsible for end-to-end ServiceNow Technical Certification + Update knowledge bases or repositories with release information for future reference. **Risk Management and Problem Solving** + Identify and manage potential release risks or bottlenecks. + Develop contingency plans to address possible issues. + Resolve conflicts and troubleshoot issues during deployment quickly and effectively. **Continuous Improvement** + Analyze past release processes to identify areas for improvement. + Gives suggestions for the implementation of process optimizations, automation tools, and better workflows for efficiency. + Monitor and gather feedback on releases, using it to enhance future release strategies. **Skills and Qualifications** + **Technical Knowledge:** Understanding of SDLC cycle + **Project Management:** Proficiency in project management methodologies (preferably SCRUM) and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Confluence). + **Problem-Solving Skills:** Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues during the release process. + **Communication Skills:** Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate between technical and non-technical teams. + **Attention to Detail:** High level of detail orientation to ensure all release components are ready and reliable.
