In this position...

The Release Manager for the Warranty product group is responsible for the smooth and efficient management of the entire release lifecycle. This role acts as a central point of coordination and communication between various teams (business, IT, suppliers) and stakeholders, ensuring releases are executed successfully, comply with regulations, and align with business objectives. The ultimate goal is to support the success of Warranty Product Group initiatives through well-managed and predictable releases. The role involves taking over release management from a supplier in a phased manner, demonstrating a transition of responsibility and knowledge

The team is normally onsite 3 days week in the Dearborn, MI office.

You'll have...

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience 8+ years of experience in Release Management within an Agile environment2+ years of experience with JIRA, Rally, ServiceNow and/or SharePoint. 2+ years of experience leading product teams or similar2+ years of experience with compliance audits (SoX, PwC) and delegation matrix maintenance.2+ years of experience leading PI Planning sessions and retrospectives.

What you'll do…

Release Management Activities: Managing and improving release processes, including checklists, rollback plans, code merges, Go/No-Go meetings, and change requests in ServiceNow. This also includes sending reminders, maintaining business scope documents, and supporting release activities potentially over weekends/holidays.Rally & JIRA Administration: Administering Rally (and migrating to JIRA), ensuring data accuracy, and providing training.SharePoint & Shared Drive Maintenance: Managing access, maintaining documents, links, and URLs within SharePoint for the Warranty Product Group.CSPS/SPS Handling for OWS: Acting as a gatekeeper for lower environments, supporting changes in AMA, assisting with dealer creation, assigning roles, training users, and providing support.ID & Password Management: Tracking, planning, and coordinating password changes for various environments.Supplier Resource Management: Managing the onboarding and offboarding of supplier resources, ensuring proper access and maintaining active user lists.Audit & Compliance: Leading annual audits (internal/PwC), providing year-round support, and driving/supporting AFR (Annually). This also involves SOX month release planning and execution.GitHub Support: Managing and approving code merges for Java and ETL projects.Business & PI Planning: Conducting monthly PI Planning sessions, training business teams on data extraction, facilitating retrospectives, and incorporating feedback. This includes leading weekly prioritization meetings, converting CRs to sub-epics, assigning business categories, and prioritizing defects.Communication & Coordination: Acting as the primary liaison between suppliers, PMs, and the core team, communicating release information, and sending reminders.Other Responsibilities: Maintaining the business delegation matrix and SCM document, maintaining links and URLs, conducting Scrum of Scrums, raising tickets to load test VINs, prioritizing/classifying defects & change requests.
