We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to oversee and facilitate the Agile Release Train (ART) activities across multiple Agile teams. The RTE will coordinate and align teams, ensure continuous improvement, and help deliver value on-time and within scope.
Contributions Organize and lead PI planning sessions, ensuring all teams are aligned on objectives and milestonesCollaborate with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and team leads to ensure alignment, resolve bottlenecks, and facilitate dependencies between teamsIdentify, communicate, and remove obstacles that hinder ART progress, escalating issues when necessaryConduct retrospectives, gather feedback, and implement changes to improve team effectiveness and qualityTrack and report on program progress, key performance indicators, and delivery timelines to stakeholdersWork with business leaders and product owners to ensure ART objectives align with broader organizational goalsCoordinate backlog refinement prior to PI Planning event; coach Product OwnersManage PI execution, being responsible for Coach Sync events, and Product Owner Sync eventsMaintain and manage the Planning Board to minimize dependency riskQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field5+ years of experience in a program management or Agile coaching role, with 2+ years specifically as an RTE or in a SAFe environmentProven experience in managing large-scale Agile projects, ideally SAFeAbility to address complex challenges, remove impediments, and support high-quality deliveryProficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA) and familiar with KPIs and metrics trackingExcellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levelsProven ability to work cross-functionally and foster collaborationSAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification preferredAdditional SAFe certifications preferred
