Release Train Engineer
Job Description As a Senior Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to ensure successful delivery of value. You will spend approximately 30% of your time on Program Increment (PI) planning activities, including sprint planning and backlog grooming, to align teams with the strategic objectives. A significant portion of your day-to-day responsibilities, about 50%, will involve following up with Scrum Masters to remove impediments, manage risks, and foster continuous improvement. You will also dedicate 10% of your time to communicating with Product Owners (POs) to ensure alignment on priorities and requirements, and another 10% to engaging with managers to provide updates and ensure organizational alignment. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with an Agile Coach to enhance Lean-Agile practices and drive the overall Agile transformation within the organization. Skills and Requirements 10+ year of work experience including 5+ years in SAFe/Agile with 2+ years as a Release Train Engineer Experience with Agile delivery tools such as JIRA, SharePoint, WIKI, ALM for requirements and SDLC, knowledge sharing and documentation of requirements, and issue tracking Experience leading Scaled Agile Trains comprised of developers, analysts, product owners, testers Experience in leading Train/Program level ceremonies such as Scrum of Scrums, PO/PM Sync, ART Sync, PI Planning events, and I&A Demonstrable experience guiding and coach multiple teams on Scrum and Kanban practices and the development of their understanding of Agile principles. Experience measuring Release Train delivery, maturity, and performance and review the metrics with the Train to identify improvement opportunities. Knowledge on the data capture process to determine/track product funding and resource acquisition needs.
