The qualified candidate will lead the software development activities of a complex, enterprise system. The person filling this position will work in a multi-disciplinary team in the midst of a multi-year large scale development effort while integrating some of the latest hardware platforms and software applications with custom code to satisfy demanding customer requirements. + The successful candidate will be responsible for overall technical direction and oversight for multiple teams of software engineers. + The successful candidate will be the primary software technical POC for the program. This role will determine the technical approach, implementation, and lifecycle roadmap of the software system. + Tasks will include the following: + Responsible for project execution of the complete software lifecycle of multiple concurrent development activities. + Establish and track schedules, and task engineering staff with appropriate assignments. + Lead and develop the overall software architecture. + Interface with other teammates and subcontractors within the program to establish the technical approach and help coordinate day-to-day technical execution activities of the program. + Direct subcontractor technical efforts to include delivery schedules, development milestones, and integration + Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement + Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Release Train Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed more than 50% on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility >50% of the time. \#SWSD **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + 6 to 8 years of Software development experience + B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. + Hold an active Secret clearance + Data fusion experience + Prior technical leadership experience to include scheduling, tasking, and day to day oversight of a team of software engineers, through multiple full-lifecycle projects. + Experience with C , Java, Python, Spring Boot + Demonstrated experience in agile development + Experience successfully developing and deploying capability in container-based services such as Docker and container orchestration such as Kubernetes **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience with Java/J2EE/WS/SOA + Experience with Agile software development + Experience in cloud-based concepts such as AWS **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
