Please visit our website www.veolianorthamerica.com. **Job Description** **Position Purpose:** The Reliability Engineer intern/VIE role within the organization will support the reliability engineering and maintenance team in improving the operational efficiency and reliability of equipment, systems, and processes. The position provides hands-on experience in applying reliability engineering principles to solve equipment and plant challenges, identify bottlenecks, and gain knowledge of maintenance in a real-world environment. Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) is a 12-week internship opportunity at Veolia for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainability and ecological transformation. They will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and participate in workshops and networking events. The program aims to nurture talent, promote innovation, and foster meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. Overall, the SEED program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to make a positive impact in the industry. **Program Dates: June 2, 2025 to August 22, 2025.** Internships at Veolia: Gain hands-on experience in at least one career function from Corporate, Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, or Technology. **Primary Duties/Responsibilities:** + Execute tasks directly related to functional projects and/or process improvements. + Communicates issues and roadblocks related to areas of responsibility. + May assist in research or special projects in various areas to fulfill business initiatives and meet business objectives. + Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs. + Participate in root-cause analysis of equipment failures. + Help collect and analyze equipment performance data. + Support the creation and updating of maintenance procedures. + Assist in conducting equipment inspections and audits. + Contribute to reliability improvement projects. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams on maintenance-related issues. + Assist in spare parts inventory management. + Assisting with the development of SOPs. + Supporting asset hierarchization and verification efforts. + Participate in safety initiatives and compliance activities. + Produces findings and concludes analyses. Make oral and written recommendations to management. + Ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes conform with established policies, standards, and objectives; establishes and/or updates engineering standards and specifications as needed. + Work with senior engineers to ensure projects meet design specifications and are completed on time and within budget. + Perform other duties as required by management. + Comply with all Veolia Company and HSE procedures and policies. Internships are focused on learning and exposure to fundamental business processes and procedures. Candidates may support any of the Veolia North America business functions. **Qualifications** **Education/Experience/Background:** + Working towards a four-year degree and you have Junior or Seniorstatusin a related **engineering major** (Mechanic, Electric, Aeronautic, Chemical, Industrial). + 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A required. **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:** + Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, presentation, and facilitation skills / Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships. **Physical Requirements:** Environments vary by internship function from office to field to plant.
