Phononic is seeking an exciting professional to join the Reliability and Test team at Phononic for the role of Reliability and Test Engineer to develop product reliability characterization and production testing capability. Activities will include managing/execution of reliability tests, supporting physical failure analysis, software development primarily using Labview, hardware and fixture design and build, test system release and post release sustaining. This job will allow the individual to expand and learn new Engineering skills.
Responsibilities
· Support test execution and development of capability to test thermoelectric devices.
· Lead test setup and preparatory work including soldering, wiring, wire bonding, building thermocouples, configuration, verification testing etc.
· Understand and follow reliability test plans to implement reliability tests, ensure accurate and dependable work across a wide variety of testing conditions.
· Interface with internal customers to communicate timely test status updates.
· Use Excel and JMP applications to process reliability data.
· Perform chamber/test tool PM, daily walkthroughs to identify and resolve issues.
· Document and update procedure/work instructions
· Provide data review support to the team
· Identify failures in reliability tests and perform physical failure analysis.
· Design, develop and optimize software for custom test equipment including data acquisition and analysis primarily using Labview.
· Document new and existing test, setup, calibration and maintenance procedures and train personnel on system use.
· Provide sustaining support and continuous improvement on deployed test solutions.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware and software development focused on product testing.
· Proficient programming skills using Labview, with 3 or more years of applied experience.
· Demonstrated experience in design of test equipment, fixtures and PCBs.
· Proficient with Excel and JMP with some experience using databases.
· JMP, database and programming skills are desirable
· Ability to communicate well using oral and written English language.
Preferred Requirements
· Prior experience in SEM, EDX and other image techniques is desirable
· Certified Labview Developer
· Experience with VBA, SQL Database and other non Labview programming languages.
· Expertise in JMP with background in statistical techniques such as gage R&R and t-test methods.
