Summary of Objective:

PCI Pharma is looking for a Reliability Engineer I to join our Engineering Team in Philadelphia, PA. The Reliability Engineer I plays a key role in the lifecycle of our products in determining reliability of components, equipment, processes, and managing/reducing asset reliability risks. Moreover, the ideal candidate will be an integral member in supporting continuous improvement initiatives cross functionally. The ideal candidate will have fresh ideas and a unique viewpoint to develop real world solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Produce and implement site reliability policies for all equipment and systems, ensuring all planned routines are correctly specified and critical spares are available to all the maintenance to team to effectively complete tasks.Routinely access and query the CMMS to create work orders, inventory management of spare parts, assign parts, and maintain tracking of PM and CM activities.Plan preventive and corrective maintenance activities for plant equipment by way of working closely with the production scheduler.Serve as the site lead for all engineering root cause analysis and implementation of long-term engineering solutions to prevent reoccurrences, manage KPI’s including Run Hours, Mean Time Between Failure (MBTF) and cost to repair of equipment and systems.Support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) investigations and actions. Initiate investigation activity and troubleshoot problems in packaging; discovers causes of non-conformance, i.e., slow throughput, poor quality and/or unsafe design.Provides technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating equipment reliability and design improvements to meet its intended or existing service conditions.Meet the site target of zero overdue compliance actions in terms of quality and documentation updates. Interface with all levels of leadership, Operations, and SMEs across the organization.Collaborates, strategizes, serve as a key stakeholder in the development and implementation of operational reliability programs and projects to include upgrades, retrofits, spare part analysis, SOP creation/updates, and maintenance repair procedures.Researches and proposes maintenance and reliability best practices that are based upon proven industry standards.Participate in customer and regulatory audits as required (non- customer/regulatory facing).This position may require overtime and/or weekend work. Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required education and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 3-5 years’ experience in an Engineering or Maintenance support role.Practical “hands-on” mechanical and inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a Lean and/or Six Sigma environment.Understanding of engineering principles, standards, methods, and practices.Basic Mathematical SkillsAdvanced Computer Skills: Ability to perform the most complex computer tasks and operate various computer programs. Advanced Excel experience is a must.                    Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.
