Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

The Reliability Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of equipment within a metal manufacturing plant. They focus on managing risk, minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and optimizing maintenance practices.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Strategies:

o Analyzes equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy engineering solutions, improved maintenance strategies, preventive maintenance optimization, and other reliability techniques.

• Risk Assessment:

Utilizes predictive, preventive, and precision maintenance technologies and strategies designed to identify or control risks prior to failure and ensure optimum maintenance execution.

• Collaboration:

Provides technical service to operations and manufacturing personnel on equipment-related troubleshooting efforts.

• Total Cost:

o Maximizes equipment reliability while considering economic factors.

Evaluate the impact of projects (reconfigurations, design changes) on meeting customer needs.

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for leading a diverse, represented hourly workforce in day-to-day operational activities, maintenance of equipment and troubleshooting efforts, as well as interacting with all levels of the organization on a wide range of business issues. This position reports to the Superintendent, of Maintenance.
