About the Role:

Are you passionate about and have experience in enhancing equipment reliability and ensuring customer satisfaction? Do you have experience with mining or heavy mobile equipment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! As a Sr. Reliability Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for studying, developing programs, and communicating equipment life cycle maintenance requirements. You will collect and monitor global equipment reliability data and develop programs and metrics to monitor equipment performance and reliability.

Key Job Responsibilities

 

Life Cycle Maintenance: Prepare life cycle maintenance requirements and guidelines for all equipment and ensure they are communicated and followed by customers and region service teams. Data Collection: Develop processes, systems, and tools for equipment data feedback collection to be used by Komatsu distributors. Spare Parts Listing: Develop and maintain the recommended spare parts listing and ensure alignment with life cycle maintenance recommendations. Analysis and Reporting: Analyze maintenance data, review service bulletins, and provide LCM analysis and support for new equipment tenders. Gather competitive equipment reliability performance data and perform comparative analysis. Reliability Programs: Develop reliability metrics and programs and roll them out to regional service teams to monitor installed base equipment availability and production data. Field Support: Provide on-site customer support when necessary and participate in Root Cause Analyses for product field issues. Qualifications/Requirements University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 3 or more years of experience with the design of mining or heavy mobile equipment. Experience with Reliability tools and methodologies such as FMEA, RCM, and reliability testing. Background in predictive maintenance models is an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and ERP systems. Experience with project management methodologies and software. MSHA, Norcat, or applicable mine site access certifications. Strong research and data analysis skills. Competence with 3D CAD design, preferably SolidWorks. Understanding of Bill of Materials and MRP systems/ECN/NCR. Strong communication skills to work with sales teams, dealers, and customers on reliability programs. High level of initiative with the ability to work independently and as part of a broader team.
