The Role

The Reliability Engineer is part of the Rocklea Site Engineering and Maintenance function. The role is also responsible for proactive and reactive reliability engineering, monitoring adherence to schedule and high-level engineering support for the maintenance department. Project management of capital projects is also part of the role.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

People Management: Provide direction and guidance to the team to meet required expectations and objectives. Develop team members through mentoring, counselling and coaching Maintain site equipment and machinery: Lead the deployment of IWS systems and practices related to equipment reliability, such as Planned Maintenance (PM) and Autonomous Maintenance (AM). Develop implement and sustain preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimise downtime and enhance equipment reliability. Promote and actively participate in the continuous improvement and evolution of site safety culture. About You

 

Preferred bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a focus on reliability engineering or maintenance leadership. Strong understanding of Integrated Work System (IWS) methodologies, including Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement, and Autonomous Maintenance. Hands-on experience with predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis. Proficiency with CMMS platforms and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar). Demonstrated experience in leading root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. How to Apply
