Reliability Engineer
Reliability Engineer Location: Orlando, FL Job ID: #70528 Pay Range: $55-65 Develops, coordinates and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (doe) constructs. Recommends design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes. Ensures that corrective measures exceed acceptable reliability standards. Analyzes preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer and governmental agency reliability objectives. May develop mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks. As necessary, proposes changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability. May determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data. Specific Job Description Oversee execution of reliability, maintainability, and system safety activities for the Apache M-TADS/M-PNVS and LBFCR programs. Manage reliability personnel in execution of reliability tasks including FRACAS, failure review boards/corrective actions, development tasks such as predictions, FMECAs, BIT development and effectively analysis, HALT, HASS, and BIT demonstrations. Provide status on activities as part of weekly/monthly Program reviews and Corrective Action Boards (CABs) Coordinate with system safety personnel in execution of tasks such as system and S/W safety planning hazard analyses, including functional hazard, sub and system hazard analyses. Develop, present and refine reliability metrics for Management and Customer reviews. Lead Reliability team’s Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) cycle by identifying failure trends, researching and implementing solutions, and tracking impacts of solution. This is a Task Coordinator (TC) position with associated Team Lead responsibilities, including the mentoring and development of junior staff. Required Experience: Candidate must have at least 5 years of of reliability analysis experience (FMECA and FRACAS) Candidate must have at least 5 years of HALT, HASS, and BIT demonstrations experience Candidate must have at least 5 years previous experience presenting reliability and maintainability metrics and project statuses to management and customer. Candidate must have at least 5 years previous experience with reliability and maintainability activities for military products. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Systems Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree Possess strong computer skills, including in-depth knowledge of MS Office software Possess excellent written and oral communication skills Desired Skills Previous experience with Logistics and System Safety for Military products Demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity, innovation and statistical reasoning Previous technical team leadership experience Previous Field Maintenance experience on aircraft Active Secret clearance preferred Benefits provided: 401K, medical, dental, and vision, sick time as applicable to state law Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is proud to provide an equal opportunity workplace and be an affirmative action employer.
