The Reliability Engineer will support the Marshall Space Flight Center Safety Mission and Assurance Services contract in Huntsville, Alabama supporting NASA.\n
\n
RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nPrepare, evaluate and assure Reliability & Maintainability plans for MSFC programs & projects. \nSupports the development and assessment of FMEA\/CIL and their ground-rules. \nEvaluate project documents related to reliability to assure consistency and adequacy with overall project requirements. \nPerform, develop, and utilize any tools needed to assure that all applicable reliability & maintainability requirements are identified for MSFC programs and projects. \nPrepare, evaluate and, provide assessments of in-house and contracted quality related contractual documentation including implementation of instructions and procedures,\nParticipate in problem and failure investigations to determine root cause and recommend corrective action. \nProvide expertise for the preparation, evaluation, and assessment of documentation relative to processes encountered during the manufacturing, inspection, and test phases of programs and projects. \nAdditional responsibilities include performing focused quantitative risk assessments to support risk-informed decisions pertaining to flight risk and risk mitigation alternatives.\nOther duties as assigned. \n\n

\n\nThis position requires US Citizenship \nMust be pursing bachelor's degree in the field of engineering, or a related field.\nMust have 5+ years of recent and related work experience.\nIn lieu of degree: Candidates with 9+ years of recent and related experience will be considered. \nMust have experience evaluating and assessing quality related actions and documents.\nExperience with investigations and corrective actions.\n\n
\n
DESIRED:\n\nTraining in common engineering computer programs such as MATLAB, Power Bi and Python\nNASA related experience is a plus. MSFC experience is a big plus. \n\n

WORK LOCATION: \n\nThis position offers a hybrid work schedule. \nThis position offers a 9\/80 schedule, every other Friday off.\nThis position may require some travel. \n\n

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:\n

STANDARD BASTION REQUIREMENTS:\n\nMust have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.\nAll of Bastion's employees must be team players. \nAble to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.\nAble to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.\nMust have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented.\nMust be organized with good time management skills.\nGenerally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.\nWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). \nMay require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).\nRegular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.\nAbility to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.\n\n
