What You Will Do:

The Contract Administrator has responsibility as the maintenance focal point for contracts related to services required by M&E (e.g. scaffold, insulation, chemical cleaning, tower scans, etc.).  Responsibility includes developing scopes, supporting technical evaluation / selection of approved vendors, contractor start up, administration of service contracts and dealing with issues pertaining to the service contractor and the Company Job Representative, including annual performance reviews.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Maintains a copy of the contractor’s current safety program. Conducts audits of the contractor’s safety and health program to ensure compliance with both the Company and contractor elements. Periodically evaluates contractor performance and communicates the results to the contractor. Ensures contractor receives site indoctrination with verification of understanding and documentation covering the general site rules and standards general to the contractor’s work site. Ensures a process exists that allows the contractor access to the current copy of the pertinent safety standards. Determines what type of contractor card and site access the contractor requires. Ensures documentation of the contractors’ training records are forwarded to the contractors. Participates in incident investigations that involve the contractor. Assists the labor buyer in determining the safety and health criteria for removal of a contractor from the qualified bidders list and for the removal of an individual contractor employee from the site. Maintains a contractor file on problems/issues/observations and incident information. Drives the communication and understanding of expectations, measurement, and administration to achieve maximum contract value. Ensures appropriate record keeping as required by law for contractors directed by the company. Responds to contractor safety concerns. Acts as the maintenance focal point for service contractor issues. Assists Labor Buyer in determining most cost-effective means of supplying required area services. Works with Procurement when selecting contractors for site

Skills That Make a Difference: 

High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited school. 8 years minimum of operational experience within an industrial plant in a maintenance role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain the following records: contracts, training, performance issues, safety issues/investigations Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Knowledge of contract and performance management with the ability to hold contractors accountable to performance standards throughout the year and provide annual contractor performance reviews. Ability to develop and maintain successful business relationships between internal stakeholders and contract service providers. Ability to provide recommendations on contract service selection based upon performance. Knowledge and proficiency with: Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook (e-mail), Internet Explorer, and Lubrizol Drawing Viewer and ability to read prints. Must possess a detailed understanding of the function and workings of utility and process; equipment and systems, repairs, maintenance, construction, and awareness of energy source hazards. Attention to detail in all aspects of the job: planning, reviewing, and completing paperwork, and scheduling resources (manpower, tools, equipment, parts). 

 

Considered A Plus:                            

Experience with SAP S4 HANA. Experience and knowledge with mechanical, process, instrumentation and electrical disciplines.

Working Conditions:                                    

Schedule will be a 40 hour week, 5, 8hr days. Eligible for flextime: 5x8hrs week 1,

 4x10 week 2, or 4x9hrs and 1x4hr weekly.

Flexible start and end time between 5:30 and 6:30am. Earliest end time 2:00 pm Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment and occasionally outdoors in inclement weather.   Willing/able to work off hours/weekends, as required.  30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
