Description

We seek a senior level reliability engineer to join our corporate reliability team. We need a seasoned and energetic individual to manage diverse integrated circuit product qualifications and use their expertise to help drive quality improvement. Our team works with multiple business units to achieve meaningful results as efficiently and expeditiously as possible. The new team member’s responsibilities will include:

Understanding quality and reliability methods for specifying component and product qualification plans. Generating product Qualification plans based on the physics of failure approach and with an understanding of the functioning of the product. Supporting Skyworks Mixed Signal Solutions business unit’s products. Providing reliability predictions based on customer specifications. Interfacing professionally with a broad range of engineering disciplines within the company—especially Product & Test Engineering, Design Engineering, Component Engineering, and Failure Analysis. Reviewing and understanding reliability test results and making appropriate engineering judgement and decisions based on data, and driving appropriate actions. Driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions stemming from reliability qualification failures. Updating internal databases for tracking qualification results. Job Requirements 8 or more years of experience in silicon semiconductor industry with BS degree, or 6 years with MS degree Experience with semiconductor IC product reliability, including JEDEC qualification standards Experience with timing circuits (clock generators, synthesizers, buffers) and isolation circuits (digital isolators, isolated gate drivers, isolated analog and ADCs) Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills while interacting with suppliers, customers, and internal staff Familiar with silicon semiconductor failure modes and mechanisms. Experience with root cause analysis and permanently fixing quality and/or reliability issues. Knowledge of design and testing, wafer fabrication processes, assembly processes, semiconductor device physics, failure analysis of ICs, 8D methodology, structural problem solving and statistical analysis Strong analytical skills Must be able to successfully handle multiple high priority projects and deliver results Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point Education BS Degree in Electrical Engineering MS in Electrical Engineering a plus

 

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $112,500 - $215,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
