Reliability Lab Technician V

The Reliability Test Technician V, under limited supervision, is responsible for executing reliability tests including electrical and mechanical test setup. Reliability tests include electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing of current designs, new product designs and On going Reliability tests. Conducts continuous improvement activities 6S to improve and maintain testing activities in the lab. Involved with problem identification, containment activities, action plan development and execution.  Ensure that the test requirements for product testing and processes are defined and met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Setup test equipment and products in proper sequence per testing proceduresElectrical wiring and mechanical fixture setupPerform tests on prototypes, existing, and competitor products for stated criteria involving mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical functions through ISO 17025 and Laboratory Scope of OperationsUse various mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement devicesAccurately interpret and document scientific notation, temperature, pressure, and other measurementsDocument lab proceduresAssists in the assembly and fabrication of test equipment and prototype products per blueprint specificationsUse and enforce 6S methodology, calibration monitoring and enforce/execute lab calibration policySupport manufacturing through troubleshooting activities; Maintain test-related documentation in, and support administration of, database environmentPrepare formal and informal test reports


Minimal Requirements:

Associates Degree10 Years of relevant work experience 

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
