Reliability Specialist
Actalent is currently hiring a reliability specialist for a premier client in the Hillside, IL area. We are ideally targeting individuals that have 1+ year(s) of experience working within CMMs to analyze data. Job Description The Reliability Specialist is responsible for supporting the factory to enable and deliver asset maintenance according to a strategic approach. This involves using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Asset Management Maintenance (AMM) to manage the life cycle of fixed assets, aiming for sustainable, long-term low production costs and high reliability. The Reliability Specialist will partner with the factory to establish a culture of continuous improvement and zero loss, consistent with Lean and Reliability Centered Maintenance principles. This role includes championing the RCM program and initiatives, providing support and coaching within the factory in loss elimination, risk management, and life cycle asset management. Responsibilities + Support the factory in delivering asset maintenance according to strategic approaches like TPM and AMM. + Establish and promote a continuous improvement and zero loss culture. + Champion Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs and initiatives. + Provide support and coaching in loss elimination, risk management, and life cycle asset management (LCAM). + Assist in master planning and skill development to sustain a proactive planned maintenance program. + Write SOPs, maintenance reports, and PM plans. Essential Skills + Experience working with maintenance systems updating, TPM, AMM, and CMMS. + Ability to write SOPs, maintenance reports, and PM plans. + Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Maintenance & Reliability, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical, or equivalent) preferred. + Minimum 1 year of experience in engineering with direct experience in leading and engaging technicians with equipment modifications and improvements. + Recognized skills in engineering and maintenance. + Knowledge and passion for continuous improvement methodologies. + Understanding of cost drivers of maintenance in manufacturing operations. + Good working knowledge of CMMS systems with the ability to mine and analyze data for trends/reports. + Analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of managers, technicians, operators, and subject matter experts. + Ability to organize, coordinate, and direct users and teams. + Ability to interpret blueprints and machine manuals. + Good understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance tasks and their implementation. + Strong oral and written communication abilities. + Solid analytical and technical skills. + Excellent presentation skills. + Project engineering/management experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or processing equipment. + Relevant certifications such as SMRP or CMRP. + TPM experience is a plus.
