Reliability Technical Specialist-Electrical

We are seeking a Reliability Technical Specialist to represent Reliability Management within assigned programs by supporting Design Robustness activities, including: Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Design Review Based on Failure Mode (DRBFM), Design Review Based on Test Results (DRBTR), Failure Mode risk roll-up, Development and Verification Platform (DVP). This role will directly influence International's ability to deliver a range of commercial Trucks, Tractors and School Buses. You will also play a pivotal support role in the design and deployment of systems to support both electric powertrain and systems to support autonomous vehicle features. This position is open to Hybrid Schedule Responsibilities Determining Quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to design processes. Conduct investigations, analyze information and facilitates teams dealing with issues/projects associated with resolution of design problems. Promote the use of reliability techniques to ensure root causes of issues are being identified and addressed. Participate in product design reviews and program discussions to ensure plans are avoiding/mitigating risks adequately. Collaborate with internal Controls/Electrical System SME's to drive the development and implementation of reliability methods, procedures and equipment that ensure superior product launches. Utilize warranty/reliability data to establish program reliability targets in support of overall cost of quality business objectives. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science At least 12 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experience At least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies OR Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science At least 8 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experience At least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies OR PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science At least 5 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies or specialized technologies and/or computer science experience At least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Experience with design of electric vehicles, autonomy and Software / IoT applications space, either directly at the OEM level or at the Vendor level a definite plus Proficient with Statistical & Reliability packages such as Minitab, Weibull Smith, Reliasoft etc. with proven track record of applying variance studies, product / design life data analytics to deliver best in class product launches Proficiency in Accelerated Life Testing Methods Proficiency with Software Reliability Models (prediction/estimation) Six Sigma Black Belt certification a definite plus Certified Reliability Engineer a definite plus Experience and Composure with facing Executives and New Product Development Gated Flows Company Overview At International Motors, LLC* (“International”), we’ve never backed away from forging our own path.
