Reliability technician

Primary function

Inspect installed machines and equipment, analyzing operating conditions to detect and diagnose issues.

Perform condition-based maintenance tasks using tools such as Infrared (IR) cameras, ultrasound equipment, vibration collectors, motor circuit testers, motion amplification, and strobes.

Train maintenance technicians on use of the condition-based maintenance tools

Assist in reviewing data collected from predictive maintenance tools to identify equipment faults and potential failures.

Develop and maintain a stop schedule for critical equipment based on predictive analysis.

Support the development and implementation of new technologies, including machine learning models and online sensors, to enhance predictive maintenance capabilities.

Comply with the Company's Integrated Management Policy, encompassing Quality, Food Safety, and Environmental standards.

Assist in the bad actor remediation program.

Assist in the maintenance strategy development and review process.

Continuous improvement initiatives, cost-saving measures, digital transformation, optimization of asset lifecycles, downtime reduction, and asset reliability management. The emphasis should be on methodologies, technologies, and strategies related to reliability and maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Main deliveries

Detailed inspection reports on the condition of machines and equipment, including vibration levels, IR data, and ultrasound findings.

Recommendations for maintenance actions based on predictive data analysis.

Up-to-date equipment inspection calendars and sheets, including data for new equipment installations.

Dynamic balancing of rotating equipment and execution of Laser Alignments, LP, and Ultrasound Inspections.

Training materials and sessions delivered to maintenance technicians on the use of predictive tools and data interpretation.

Set up analyzer for routine data collection. Diagnose most common fault conditions. Perform special tests to validate unbalance, misalignment, resonance, looseness, and other conditions. Perform precision shaft alignment & balancing. Redefine the frequency of data collection or adjust the alarm level according with the asset history. Governance, maintenance, manage and data analyzing for all IoT systems or online measurement of your responsibility

Agility and innovation

Continuously monitor and analyze machine performance, providing early detection of issues to prevent unplanned downtime.

Participate in the exploration and implementation of innovative predictive maintenance technologies, such as online monitoring sensors and machine learning algorithms.

Adapt to new predictive tools and techniques, ensuring the reliability program remains cutting-edge and effective.

Relationships and People upskilling

Collaborate with maintenance teams, planners, and plant leadership to communicate the status of equipment and suggest prioritized interventions based on predictive data.Facilitate knowledge transfer by training maintenance technicians on the use of predictive tools and the analysis of collected data.Engage in cross-functional teams to improve overall equipment reliability and maintenance strategies.Foster good interpersonal relationships, empathy, team spirit, negotiation, and cooperation.Upskill and mentor team members, promoting a proactive and committed work environment.  

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, with hands-on experience in predictive maintenance.Education: Mechanical Technician or equivalent technical qualification.Technical Skills: Ultrasound CAT 1, Vibration CAT 1, and MLT 1Desirable: Vibration CAT 2, CMRTIndustry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of industrial equipment, including knowledge of measurements, bearings, dimensional control, and machine elements.Functional Knowledge: Expertise in vibration analysis, thermography inspections, and predictive maintenance techniques.Key Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, particularly the Office suite. Familiarity with data analysis software related to predictive maintenance.Languages: Technical English is desirable for understanding and interpreting technical documentation.

Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
